Laparoscopic Appendicectomy.
A new technique of Surgery called Minimally Invasive Surgery has in recent years completely revolutionized all kinds of Surgical procedures in various parts of human body and pertaining to a wide spectrum of Surgical specialities. As applied to abdominal surgeries instead of doing the conventional "laparotomies" making relatively large cuts or incisions to gain access to internal organs to perform surgical procedures by this modern "Minimally Invasive Surgery" it is possible to do almost any operative procedure. As applied to this region, the abdomen, the term "Laparoscopic Surgery" is used.
